GOFAMINT started in Africa over sixty (60) years ago. As the Church grew in membership, some migrated to countries around the world and branches of the Church started outside Nigeria and subsequently started in the United Kingdom.

Today this Church (globally) is led by God through our General Overseer - Pastor (Dr) Elijah O. Abina - and the team.

In the United Kingdom the Church is led by the Holy Spirit through the National Coordinator - Pastor (Dr) Wale Olaniyi.

GOFAMINT UK is made up of people from all walks of life, different professions and different points in the journey with God and Christianity. We all come as we are and have Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God as our common grounds.

We love diversity and we love to see new people. We really hope that you will feel right at home in one of our branches.

Main Worship Service on Sundays is held autonomously in each of our branches, begins with a warm welcome, some prayers, songs, Sunday (Bible) School where we teach different topics weekly before going to the latter part of the service.
Music is a part of our Worship Service and we mix hymns and more contemporary songs of different styles using musical instruments as we praise Jehovah together. We pray and believe God to answer and speak to us.

We are active in our local communities working alongside other agencies as well as running our own projects as a practical demonstration of our Christian faith.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at various centers across the UK for our Sunday Service with the times of service set by individual branches.

Our Service

Each Sunday Service will involve studying the word of God in what we call Sunday (Bible) School - a time so dear to the GOFAMINT family globally.

Our Sunday Services include some singing and congregational prayers in the name if Jesus Christ. We also have a moment to listen to preaching or teaching for the day before wrapping up the service.

What about my kids?

We have a number of activities lined up for kids of all ages all year round. The kids group activities vary depending on individual Church branch but you can expect a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games, etc.
We have staff with current CB checks to take care of the children whilst in church.
